Towson, MD (June 1, 2018) -- Today, the Baltimore Washington Laborers' District Council (BWLDC), an affiliate of the Laborers' International Union of North America (LIUNA), announced primary election endorsements for the Baltimore County Council. In April 2018, the BWLDC endorsed Johnny Olszewski for Baltimore County Executive.
Today’s endorsements are:
“The BWLDC is committed to identifying, endorsing, and supporting candidates for elected office whose values and priorities are consistent with those of LIUNA. We are looking for people who understand that building Baltimore County’s middle class is good for Baltimore County’s economy,” said David Allison, Business Manager of the Baltimore Washington Laborers’ District Council, LIUNA.
“When the County invests in its infrastructure or subsidizes economic development projects, it should be leveraging those taxpayer dollars to ensure local construction workers make family-sustaining wages with healthcare and retirement benefits. The candidates for Baltimore County Council we have endorsed for election or re-election today are part of that effort,” Allison commented.
